Ori Gbadebo-Smith

Ori is a Co-founder and Managing Principal of Oni Partners, who brings over 15 years of entrepreneurial, investment, and operating experience to the company. Ori currently serves as the Chairman of Hugo Technologies Inc, an award-winning business outsourcing company which he co-founded and served as the CEO. Under his tenure, Hugo grew from founding to over 4500 full-time employees distributed across five countries, serving clients ranging from seed-stage technology companies to the Fortune 500 behemoths, including Google, Meta, and Samsung.

Orinola began his career in the Mergers & Acquisitions division of Lehman Brothers Plc. Post his time in M&A, Orinola moved on to Private Equity where he invested with both Vestar Capital Partners L.P., a New York-based $5Bn leveraged buyout fund, and Helios Investment Partners, Africa’s largest principal and special situations investment platform.

Ori has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics from Dartmouth College.

Fey Gbadebo-Smith

Fey is a Co-founder and Managing Principal of Oni, who also brings over 13 years of entrepreneurial, investment, and operating excellence to the company. Most recently, Fey co-founded 9bloom, a data services company that works with US mid-market companies to leverage data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to drive growth and scale.

Additionally, Fey serves as the Chairman of Altara, a leading and award-winning financial services company that operates across growth markets, a company he founded and served as the CEO for 6 years. Altara, in its most recent round, achieved a $40 million valuation. Prior to his entrepreneurial roles, Fey served as a digital growth executive at Coppel [>$15 billion market cap] in Mexico & Argentina.

He started his career in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley, after which he worked as a special situations investor at Marathon Asset Management, a $10 billion New York-based hedge fund, where he identified investment opportunities across the capital structure.

Fey has an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, an MSt in Real Estate (Concentration: Finance) from Cambridge University, and a BA in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
